Focus Statement Sustaining a healthy River Murray in S.A.
Mission Statement
To facilitate the co-operative
alliance of groups and organisations aligned to consumptive users of waters of
the River Murray S.A. (includes the Environment)
To achieve best management, control and efficiency results with the use of this precious
resource
To ensure positive effective solutions are in place to sustain a healthy River Murray in S.A.
To represent the consumptive users of the River Murray and ensure the decision makers are held accountable
to achieve the best regulation, control and management solutions

Questions and comments
Richard Reedy Deputy Chair of SAMI and his 20 years in the business of representative
positions, commented on formation of this new group and its possible divisiveness.
Original Power Point slide was shown again.
WATER COMMUNITIES S.A. is a new community group bought together to affiliate all
representative groups in Sth Aust that are aligned to the River Murray.
South Aust requires a single strong representation to present the States concerns and put
forward solutions to ensure a sustainable, healthy River Murray.
